Introduction

Čadca is a town situated on sides of the river Kysuce, surrounded by flat massives Javorníky and Slovak Beskydy, that currently separates the river and creates Kysucké podolie. The city is the capital of Kysuce, which opens the symbolic opening of borders of Poland and the Czech Republic and Slovakia to further the south to Europe. The country of Čadca around is interesting for a rough surface and rich forests, which attract with their quiet beauty and charm you know mountain scenery, which can be seen from the slopes and ridges of the surrounding hills.

History

Čadca as administrative seat was established at the end of the second 16th quarter century. At the initiative of the estate landlords have created Wallachian Budatín with her settlers. Temporary home of nomadic shepherds from Wallachia estates Budatín, Hričov, Strečno and Starý hrad but there were already several decades ago. Location and climate

Čadca is located in the northwestern part of Slovakia near the border with the Czech Republic and Poland in Kysucké Podolí. Tourist attractions

Manor and park - were built early in last century as a summer residence of the former owners of surrounding forests. In 1978 to 1981 was adapted to the location Kysucké gallery, which it is used for exhibition purposes. When the gallery is a large park with many rare trees. National Nature Reserve Velka Raca (1236 meters) - situated on the border between the Slovak and Poland. At the top is located the tower. Kysucké Village Museum in Nova Bystrica - in Vychylovce presents examples of folk architecture and housing at the beginning of the 20th century.

Surroundings

The historical forest railway - is part of the Museum Kysuce Village. It is a preserved section of the former Kysuce-Orava Forest Railway, which transported timberAlong with a number of taps was measured over 100 km. In 1968, was dismantled and kept only the section in the length of about 11 km. Some of it was reconstructed and used to transport visitors to the Museum of Kysuce village. Its attractiveness is that the height difference of system overcomes the five dead center, where the locomotive on a section of cars pulling in and pushing them further, which is a rarity in the world. Railway is a national cultural monument.
